Budget Committee · Meeting of January 16, 2026

NH GRAFTON — Grafton Budget Committee recommends capital warrant articles; splits on fire truck and library. The committee voted to recommend $630,758.50 in capital improvements across 11 warrant articles, including $316,758.50 for a highway department 10-wheeler truck purchase and $100,000 each for highway and paving capital reserves. A $50,000 Fire Department Apparatus Capital Reserve Fund contribution failed to secure a recommendation, with Bonnie Haubrich and Virginia Bartoldus supporting it while Ed Grinley, Maureen O'Reilly, and Ryan Huff opposed due to highway equipment priorities.

A proposed $55,000 library bathroom addition also failed to secure a recommendation, with the same 2-3 split. The committee also unanimously increased the Town Clerk budget by $150 due to equipment failure.
