NH GRAFTON — Grafton Selectmen return junkyard ordinance for lawyer revision following public hearing concerns. The Board held a public hearing on the draft ordinance but received public comment raising concerns about the definition scope, enforcement mechanisms, and potential targeting of individuals. Board member Steve Darrow agreed the definition section requires revision and will send the draft back to the town lawyer before a new public hearing.
The Board scheduled a public hearing for August 4 on a proposed $399,000 Mini Pumper truck purchase to replace equipment sold nine years ago, with $379,676 in capital reserves and $15,000 from warrant article funding available.
