NH GRAFTON — Grafton Cemetery Trustees vote to send gravestone maintenance warrant to lawyer. At their January 8 meeting, the trustees unanimously approved meeting minutes and voted to send a proposed warrant article to the town lawyer for legal review. The article proposes raising and appropriating $1,000 for the Cemetery Maintenance Expendable Trust Fund to purchase gravestone lifting equipment and hire a contractor to upright fallen gravestones.
Trustee Ryan Huff raised concerns about co-mingling taxpayer and non-taxpayer funds; the trustees said the trust fund structure can address the issue properly. Sexton Ed Grinley reported a large tree down at Razor Hill Cemetery near some gravestones.
